The United States Army built a ring of Nike missile launchers around Seattle in the 1950s, Ed Thelen's Nike Missile Website has locations, technical and operational details of these sites. Cold War Relics is a collection of old and present day photos of several missile and military sites in the Seattle area.
S-03 Bothell, Lake Forest Park
S-20 is on Cougar Mountain south of Bellevue, WA. The south end of Lake Sammamish and I-90 can be seen at the upper right corner of the satellite picture. The radars were at the Integrated Fire Control area, the missile launcher area was approximately one mile from the IFC. S-20 was built in 1957 and closed in 1964.
